The Pennekamp Elementary School campus buzzed with enthusiasm on the evening of Thursday, August 27th, as parents gathered for the school’s annual Back to School Night. The event offered families a valuable opportunity to tour classrooms, explore the campus, and connect directly with the dedicated educators who shape Pennekamp’s learning environment.

Prior to classroom visits, parents came together for the school’s first PTA general meeting of the academic year. During the presentation, school leaders and parent organizers highlighted the road ahead for students and emphasized the essential role the PTA community support plays in sustaining Pennekamp’s educational excellence. Attendees also learned about the Manhattan Beach Education Foundation (MBEF) and the critical impact of parent donations.

Following the general meeting, parents headed to classrooms to meet Pennekamp’s incredible faculty. Teachers across grade levels opened their doors to share their vision for a successful school year. Teachers outlined grade-level goals, interactive projects, and foundational academic milestones for the school year.
