Pennekamp Elementary students recently showcased their creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills on the world stage at the 2026 Odyssey of the Mind World Finals held May 27–30 in Ames, Iowa. Competing alongside 684 teams from around the globe, Pennekamp’s Problem 4, Division 1 team earned an impressive 4th place finish in the world — an incredible accomplishment and testament to months of dedication, innovation, and collaboration.

This year, five teams from across Manhattan Beach represented their schools at the international competition, with students demonstrating the creativity, perseverance, and teamwork that define Odyssey of the Mind. Pennekamp’s outstanding finish highlights the hard work of our students, coaches, and families who supported them throughout their journey.
